Niamh Hogan
Niamh started training Karate at the age of five. Though primarily focusing on traditional Budo Karate, she is also a keen competitor. She won her first competition at the age of 9 and has continued this success to the present day, both Nationally and Internationally.
Qualifications
She achieved Sho Dan in 2000, Ni Dan in 2003, San Dan in 2007 and graded to Yondan in 2018, all under Sensei Hitoshi Kasuya.
Achievements
She is the unbeaten WSKF Ireland Female Kata Champion since 2000 and also holds many Karate Ireland (ONAKAI) Kata Champion titles. She also has won numerous medals internationally, most recently, at the WSKF World Championships in Tokyo in August 2017:
Gold in Women’s Kumite
Silver in Women’s Kata
Bronze in Team Kata
She is a registered Karate Instructor and has been actively teaching for the past 15 years. Niamh is a member of the coaching panel for the WSKF Ireland Squad.
