Club Details

Karate Iorrais was established in 2018 by Sensei Padraig Monaghan (2nd Dan).

Classes are taught with Sensei Kieran Togher who having attained his Dan grade many years ago returned to karate when Sensei Padraig began teaching.

Initially, Karate Iorrais focused on the traditional side of Shotokan karate and developed, in parallel, interests in competition karate and since 2019 are holders of numerous National medals.

The club has over 100 members (mainly children and teens) with membership growing steadily each year. Classes are from age 6 upwards with classes 3 times per week categorised by age and grade with specific adult class on Friday.
