About WSKF Ireland

Who we are...

WSKF Ireland is comprised of individuals from all age groups, genders and backgrounds who enjoy the discipline and sport of Karate.  Our clubs feature training by award-winning National and International coaches and access to world-class karate seminars and competitions. 

We are fully committed to safeguarding the well-being of our members through the “Code of Ethics and Good Practice for Children’s Sport” as set out by the Irish Sports Council.  The aim of this code is to promote best practice by everyone involved in the sport of Karate and to provide a safe, healthy, enjoyable environment for young members.

We also encourage our members to achieve their full potential through national and international competitions.  Many students have enjoyed medal successes across a range of competitions, including events at European Karate Federation (EKF) and World Karate Federation (WKF) levels.

WSKF Ireland is recognised by the Sports Council through (ONAKAI), which is the National Governing Body (NGB) for all Karate styles in Ireland.

So whether you are looking to get fit, wanting to learn self-defence, interested in developing mind, body and spirit through martial arts, or keen to compete with other like-minded karate followers, WSKF has a place for you.
